Raced the world championship in Hawaii as a physically-challenged athlete for the Challenged Athletes Foundation — roughly two decades after being told the probability of walking again was slim.
IRONMAN 70.3 — seven and counting
Seven half-Ironman races completed as of 2016, and still racing. He competes for the Challenged Athletes Foundation, an organisation he supports as a competitor rather than a spectator.
